डिजिटल नोटबुक क्या है और किसके काम की है
डिजिटल नोटबुक वेबसाइट पर खुलने वाली एक कॉपी है। आप इसमें पन्ने पर जहाँ चाहें वहाँ क्लिक करके लिख सकते हैं, पन्ने जोड़ सकते हैं, फोटो और सिंबल लगा सकते हैं और अंत में पूरी कॉपी PDF में निकाल सकते हैं। यह छात्रों, शिक्षकों, कोचिंग में पढ़ने वालों, असाइनमेंट बनाने वालों और अपने लिए डायरी या नोट्स रखने वालों के काम आती है। इसके लिए कोई ऐप इंस्टॉल नहीं करना पड़ता और अकाउंट भी नहीं बनाना पड़ता।
शुरू करने से पहले
- कंप्यूटर, लैपटॉप, टैबलेट या फ़ोन के ब्राउज़र में dototool.com खोलें। Chrome या Edge सबसे अच्छे रहते हैं।
- वॉयस टाइपिंग के लिए इंटरनेट और माइक की अनुमति (Allow) चाहिए।
- सेव की हुई कॉपी आपके अपने ब्राउज़र में रहती है, इसलिए हमेशा उसी डिवाइस के उसी ब्राउज़र से लौटें।
स्टेप 1: नोटबुक खोलें
ऊपर मेन्यू में Digital Notebook दबाएँ, या होम पेज पर “✍️ नोटबुक खोलो” दबाएँ। नोटबुक सीधे लिखने वाले पन्ने पर खुलती है। ऊपर Home, Cover, Insert, Page और File नाम के पाँच टैब दिखते हैं। चाहें तो ▲ “छोटा करें” बटन से इस मेन्यू को छोटा कर सकते हैं ताकि लिखने के लिए ज़्यादा जगह मिले।
स्टेप 2: कवर पेज डिज़ाइन करें
Cover टैब में जाते ही पूरा कवर पेज दिखता है। यहाँ थीम, दो रंग, कोण, पैटर्न, बॉर्डर, टाइटल फॉन्ट, टाइटल का आकार और रंग, फोटो का आकार और साइज़, स्टिकर का स्टाइल और स्टिकर टैग चुन सकते हैं। “🎲 Surprise Me” दबाने पर अपने-आप एक नया डिज़ाइन बन जाता है। “कवर लोगो / फोटो” से अपनी फोटो लगाएँ। कवर पर NAME, SUBJECT, CLASS और SCHOOL जैसे लेबल और उनके सामने की जानकारी, टाइटल और नीचे का कोट, सब कुछ क्लिक करके खुद बदल सकते हैं।
स्टेप 3: पेन, रंग और फॉन्ट चुनकर लिखें
Home टैब में पेन का रंग (नीला, लाल, काला, हरा, बैंगनी), Bold / Italic / Underline, पीला-हरा-गुलाबी हाइलाइटर और 10 हैंडराइटिंग फॉन्ट मिलते हैं। पन्ने पर जहाँ लिखना हो वहाँ क्लिक करें और टाइप करना शुरू करें। किसी शब्द का रंग या फॉन्ट बदलना हो तो उसे चुनें (select करें) और फिर पेन का रंग या फॉन्ट चुन लें। सिर्फ़ चुना हुआ टेक्स्ट बदलेगा, बाकी वैसा ही रहेगा।
स्टेप 4: बोलकर लिखें और हिंदी टाइपिंग
“🎙️ बोलें” बटन को एक बार दबाएँ और बोलना शुरू करें। जब तक आप बटन दोबारा नहीं दबाते, यह सुनता रहता है। “🔤 अ/A हिंदी” चालू होने पर आप अंग्रेज़ी अक्षरों में टाइप करके हिंदी शब्द पा सकते हैं, जैसे “namaste” लिखने पर “नमस्ते”। वॉयस टाइपिंग की पूरी जानकारी के लिए हमारी हिंदी वॉयस टाइपिंग गाइड पढ़ें।
स्टेप 5: अपने नोट्स सुनें
“🔊 सुनें (Play)” दबाने पर आपके लिखे नोट्स आवाज़ में सुनाए जाते हैं। यह आपके डिवाइस की मुफ़्त आवाज़ों में से भारतीय महिला आवाज़ चुनने की कोशिश करता है। रोकने के लिए Stop दबाएँ। रिविज़न के समय आँखें आराम में रखकर नोट्स सुनना काफ़ी काम आता है।
स्टेप 6: इमेज, सिंबल और इमोजी जोड़ें
Insert टैब में “इमेज जोड़ें” से फोटो और “सिंबल्स व इमोजी” से कोष्ठक, तीर, आकार, ग्रिड, गणित के चिह्न और इमोजी जोड़ें। हर इमेज और सिंबल को चारों तरफ़ से खींचकर बड़ा-छोटा किया जा सकता है, घुमाव वाले हैंडल या स्लाइडर से 360° घुमाया जा सकता है और खींचकर कहीं भी रखा जा सकता है। सिंबल से आप पन्ने पर लाइन, तीर या बॉक्स भी बना सकते हैं।
स्टेप 7: पन्ने और पेज टाइप
Page टैब में चार तरह के पेज मिलते हैं: लाइन वाला, सादा, ग्रिड और इंग्लिश पेज (4 लाइन)। “नया पेज” से पन्ना जोड़ें, “पिछला / अगला” से पन्ने पलटें और “पेज हटाएँ” से हटाएँ। एक पन्ने की जगह भर जाने पर आगे लिखने के लिए नया पेज जोड़ना होता है। इससे आपका लिखा हमेशा पन्ने के अंदर ही रहता है।
स्टेप 8: गलती सुधारें और सेव करें
हर टैब में ↩️ Undo और ↪️ Redo बटन हैं, जो आपका पिछला बदलाव वापस या दोबारा करते हैं। सेव करने के लिए File टैब में “सेव करें” दबाएँ, या कीबोर्ड से Ctrl + S दबाएँ (Mac पर Cmd + S)। “फ़ाइल कहाँ सेव है?” बटन से आप सेव की जगह और आखिरी सेव का समय देख सकते हैं। अगली बार उसी ब्राउज़र में वेबसाइट खोलने पर आपकी नोटबुक अपने-आप खुल जाती है।
स्टेप 9: बैकअप लें और दूसरे डिवाइस पर ले जाएँ
सेव की हुई कॉपी आपके ब्राउज़र में रहती है। ब्राउज़र का डेटा साफ़ करने, Incognito मोड में खोलने या दूसरे फ़ोन-कंप्यूटर पर जाने से वह नहीं दिखेगी। इसलिए “बैकअप डाउनलोड” दबाकर एक फ़ाइल सुरक्षित रखें। दूसरे डिवाइस पर dototool खोलकर “बैकअप से खोलें” दबाएँ और वही फ़ाइल चुनें। पूरी नोटबुक वहाँ खुल जाएगी।
स्टेप 10: PDF या PNG डाउनलोड करें
“PDF (कवर + सभी पेज)” दबाएँ। प्रिंट विंडो में Destination में Save as PDF चुनें, और Margins में None रखें ताकि पन्ना पूरा A4 में आए। आपका PDF पन्ने जैसा ही बनता है: वही फॉन्ट, रंग, इमेज और सिंबल का आकार। सिर्फ़ मौजूदा पन्ना इमेज में चाहिए तो “PNG डाउनलोड” दबाएँ।
आम समस्याएँ और उनके हल
- “पेज भर गया है” संदेश आया: इसका मतलब पन्ना पूरा हो गया है। Page टैब से “नया पेज” जोड़ें और वहाँ लिखना जारी रखें।
- सेव की हुई कॉपी नहीं दिख रही: जाँचें कि आप वही डिवाइस और वही ब्राउज़र इस्तेमाल कर रहे हैं, और Incognito मोड में नहीं हैं। बैकअप फ़ाइल हो तो “बैकअप से खोलें” से खोलें।
- माइक काम नहीं कर रहा: ब्राउज़र की एड्रेस बार में माइक की अनुमति Allow करें, इंटरनेट जाँचें और Chrome या Edge इस्तेमाल करें।
- PDF में पन्ना कटा हुआ दिख रहा है: प्रिंट विंडो में Margins को None और Scale को Default रखें।
- सुनें की आवाज़ अच्छी नहीं लग रही: Edge ब्राउज़र में सबसे अच्छी हिंदी आवाज़ (Swara) मिलती है। फ़ोन में Settings के Text-to-speech में हिंदी आवाज़ डाउनलोड करें।

If you want to write your school, college or coaching notes on a computer or phone the way you write in a paper notebook, the dototool digital notebook is made for you. It is a free online A4 notebook with a cover page, ruled pages, handwriting fonts, voice typing and PDF download. In this guide we explain every step from start to finish so that you can use it comfortably the very first time.
What is a digital notebook and who is it for
A digital notebook is a copy that opens on a website. You click anywhere on the page to write, add more pages, insert photos and symbols, and finally export the whole notebook as a PDF. It suits students, teachers, coaching learners, people preparing assignments, and anyone who keeps a diary or notes. You do not need to install an app or create an account.
Before you start
- Open dototool.com in the browser of your computer, laptop, tablet or phone. Chrome or Edge work best.
- Voice typing needs the internet and microphone permission (Allow).
- A saved notebook stays in your own browser, so always return from the same browser on the same device.
Step 1: Open the notebook
Press Digital Notebook in the top menu, or press “✍️ Open Notebook” on the home page. The notebook opens directly on the writing page. You will see five tabs at the top: Home, Cover, Insert, Page and File. If you want more space to write, press the ▲ “Minimize” button to shrink this menu.
Step 2: Design the cover page
As soon as you open the Cover tab, the whole cover page is shown. You can choose the theme, two colors, angle, pattern, border, title font, title size and color, photo shape and size, sticker style and sticker tag. “🎲 Surprise Me” creates a new design by itself. Use “Cover Logo / Photo” to add your own picture. On the cover you can click and change labels such as NAME, SUBJECT, CLASS and SCHOOL, the details next to them, the title and the quote at the bottom.
Step 3: Write with your pen, color and font
The Home tab gives you pen colors (blue, red, black, green, purple), Bold / Italic / Underline, yellow-green-pink highlighters and 10 handwriting fonts. Click where you want to write on the page and start typing. To change the color or font of a word, select the word and then pick a pen color or font. Only the selected text changes and the rest stays as it was.
Step 4: Write by speaking, and Hindi typing
Press the “🎙️ Speak” button once and start talking. It keeps listening until you press the button again. With “🔤 Hindi Typing” on, typing in English letters gives Hindi words, for example typing “namaste” gives “नमस्ते”. For complete details read our Hindi voice typing guide.
Step 5: Listen to your notes
Press “🔊 Listen (Play)” and your notes are read aloud. It tries to choose an Indian female voice from the free voices on your device. Press Stop to stop it. Listening to notes is useful during revision when you want to rest your eyes.
Step 6: Add images, symbols and emoji
In the Insert tab use “Add Image” for photos and “Symbols & Emoji” for brackets, arrows, shapes, grid, math signs and emoji. Every image and symbol can be stretched from all sides, rotated 360° with the rotate handle or slider, and dragged anywhere. You can even draw a line, an arrow or a box on the page with symbols.
Step 7: Pages and page types
The Page tab offers four page types: lined, plain, grid and English page (4-line). Add a page with “New Page”, flip with “Previous / Next” and remove with “Delete Page”. When a page is full you add a new page to keep writing, so your text always stays inside the page.
Step 8: Fix mistakes and save
Every tab has ↩️ Undo and ↪️ Redo buttons that take back or redo your last change. To save, press “Save” in the File tab or press Ctrl + S on the keyboard (Cmd + S on Mac). The “Where is my file saved?” button shows the location and the last saved time. When you open the website again in the same browser, your notebook opens automatically.
Step 9: Take a backup and move to another device
A saved notebook lives in your browser. It will not appear if you clear browser data, use Incognito mode or switch to another phone or computer. So press “Download backup” and keep the file safe. On another device open dototool, press “Open from backup” and choose that file. The full notebook opens there.
Step 10: Download a PDF or PNG
Press “PDF (Cover + All Pages)”. In the print window choose Save as PDF as the destination and set Margins to None so the page fills A4. Your PDF looks like the page: the same fonts, colors, and the same image and symbol sizes. If you only need the current page as a picture, press “PNG Download”.
Common problems and fixes
- “This page is full” message: The page is complete. Add a “New Page” from the Page tab and continue writing there.
- Saved notebook is not showing: Check that you are on the same device and browser, and not in Incognito mode. If you have a backup file, open it with “Open from backup”.
- Microphone is not working: Allow the microphone in the address bar, check your internet and use Chrome or Edge.
- PDF looks cropped: In the print window keep Margins as None and Scale as Default.
- The listening voice does not sound good: Edge gives the best Hindi voice (Swara). On a phone, download a Hindi voice in Settings under Text-to-speech.
